Baby: 21-22 weeks

Our sweet baby girl is getting so big!
She nows weighs a full pound and almost a foot tall.  It's hard to believe all of that fits inside my abdomen.  Although, it is growing by the minute.
21 weeks

Trying to get Paisley to take another photo.  Instead she eats the frame.
Ignore our very messy room.  My excuse of the week is "we're moving."  We'll see what kind of excuse I can come up with next week.

Speaking of moving I didn't get any belly pictures at week 22 because it was total chaos between work and moving.  However, I did get some pretty adorable pictures of our baby girl!
 A little foot.
 Sweet baby lips and nose.
She would not be still for her ultrasound.  She was constantly on the move.  I'm a little afraid of what that means for us in the future.

Can't wait to see our baby girl again in 3 weeks!

Baby: 20 Weeks

The official 1/2 way point.
It came awfully quickly so I can only imagine how quickly the second half will be.

At 20 weeks baby Steele is about the size of a small cantaloupe and her weight is finally in double digits in ounces.  Super hard to believe something that size could be in my stomach.  But if you saw me this week, you would know that my stomach is rapidly expanding to accommodate this massive child.  I know.  I know.  She will only get bigger.  Don't remind me.

Speaking of getting bigger....

Paisley and B, our photographers, wanted a picture this week too!

At 20 weeks and 5 days, B got to feel baby girl kick for the first time!  It was so special.  I had no idea if he would be able to feel the little kicks and jabs, because they are just that still very small, but he absolutely could.  Such an amazing pregnancy milestone!

So excited for our next doctors' appointment this week!  Feels like its been forever.  Can't wait to see our precious wiggle worm again.  It has been so neat getting to see her each month!

Baby: 19 Weeks

Happy almost 1/2 way, baby girl!  Or perhaps 1/2 way for you depending on when the doctors decide you need to come!

This week baby girl is weighing in at a little over half a pound and is about half a foot long.  It's amazing how small she started and how big she will grow all while living inside me.

She is a wiggle worm as confirmed by ultrasound.  I feel little things all the time, but at this point, I will neither confirm nor deny that any of it is baby.  There is so much going on inside me it's all a blur as to what produces what gurgle.

Picture Time.

Trying to get pictures with Paisley is always a challenge.  Here she is eating the picture frame rather than looking at the camera.
Starting to look more like a baby bump!
At Cara and Seth's rehearsal dinner!  They will be the best aunt and uncle for our sweet baby girl!

See you at 20 weeks!
(Which will be like later today or tomorrow considering all I have to do is write the blog, since 20 weeks was technically over a week ago.  One day I will catch up on here.)

Baby: It's Gender Party Time!

We had an ultrasound at 17 weeks 4 days.  We knew there was a pretty good chance we would be able to find out what gender our sweet baby was.  So we started to throw a party together so we could tell all our friends and family.  At the last minute, we decided that we also would not find out what the baby's gender was until it was revealed at the party.  We asked the ultrasound tech if she could not show us what it was, but instead write it down and place it in an envelope.  We had a very no nonsense tech that day and she made no promises.

Finally, she asked us to look away from the screen.  It was so hard not to look for the couple of minutes it took her to get all her measurements and take the picture she needed to show us the gender.  I'll admit I peaked at least twice when she first told us to look away.  She was very confident in her decision of the gender (Although I'm still nervous that at our next ultrasound it will be something different.  Am I the only mom who does that?  I guess we'll see for sure if it is the same in a week and half.)

We took the envelope to our local cupcakery, Short Cakes!  (We highly recommend this bakery!  They are the sweet local people you will ever meet.)  The sweet baker there took the envelope and created some delicious cupcakes with the surprise inside.

Then we all gather for a little cookout fun!
Charley loved all the babies and kids at the party!

Done with the eating, it was time for the big moment.
Sorry for the candid shots.  I don't ever do well with candids.
Cupcakes Ready!
1st Bite.
Brandon saw it.  I didn't bite through the cupcake far enough to see anything.
Everyone is yelling and I'm scurrying to open mine.
 Got it open!
So excited for our baby GIRL!

Grandparents are excited for their first granddaughter!
Excited for all of our girls to play together.

Sweetest friends in the world to come out and celebrate with us!

Coleman is excited about his new baby cousin!

First swaddling blanket!
 First baby doll!
Paisley loved looking at all the gifts for her baby sister!  Now we will just have to keep her from eating all her sisters toys once she gets here!

Guess the majority was right!  12 to 11.  It's a baby girl for the Steeles.

Happy 18 weeks Baby Girl!
