Deck the Halls

I'm sorry I've been gone for the past 3ish weeks from blogging.  I hated not posting and I've missed you gals (and those few guys out there reading), but I have just not stopped or been in town long enough to get a post written.  But do not fret, I have about a gazillion floating around in this flighty head of mine and I will get them out to you as soon as I can.  Of course this week is already looking quite packed, but soon I promise.  Soon.

Can you believe its time to decorate for Christmas?  I haven't been the most enthusiastic decorator this year because it feels like we have been so busy.  But I am easing into the spirit.  One of the things that has  jump started my Christmas spirit is the new wreath I got this weekend.  My lovely and talented sister, Candace, has been making wreaths for friends and family.  And I got my hands on one this weekend and took that cutie home with me!  I was so excited about mine, I thought I would share them with you; in case one of you was in search for the perfect holiday wreath without all the hassle of making it yourself.  Don't get me wrong I love crafting, but I've been in a bit of a lull.  And if my life is just easier if I pay someone else to do it for cheaper than I can make it myself...Done!

Perfect for my Christmas color choices...Red and Bright Green!  It is currently hanging on my carport door!  House churchers...get ready to be dazzled by it on Wednesday night!

These are so cute sitting in your favorite pot on your porch that currently full of those dead plants from the summer.  You know it is.  So fill it with a cute Christmas decoration instead.

So if you are in need of the most festive, cutest wreaths or trees around to deck your halls, then you should call my sister!  If you are afraid to call people like I am...you know who you are...those you hate calling 1800 numbers and getting an actual person...those that always make their husband/mom/friend call to order the pizza...those that put off hair appointments just because you haven't made the call...no worries, you can email me or my sister or you can check her facebook page.  Its all so easy.

All the wreaths can be customized to fit your holiday colors and taste.  Or if you decide you are in more need of some school spirit she can make you a UK Wildcats wreath or tree like she did for B.  Sorry I don't have a good picture of that one.  The wreaths range in price from $30-40 depending on the materials.  P.S. It is A TOTAL STEAL!  I checked etsy earlier to do a little scouting!  CRAZY folks.  These same wreaths are listed for $60-110.  You heard me...$110!  Don't be fooled.  Get one from Candace!

God thinks I'm awesome.

My sisters must think that too because they want to be like me.

Flashback:

Carebear, when she pledged...look at those pearls.  She's all shmancy for pledging!

Now, we aren't even going to go into my stance or your stance on pledging.  It's a super complex conversation that doesn't bring out the best in anyone so we aren't going to talk about it.  All I know is...Delta Sigma is lucky to have a former NCAA softball player and strongest girl I know on their intramural teams.  (She once's squatted over 300lbs...WHAT?  How did it not crush her?  I know she's special!)

I loved Delta Sigma.  I learned so much and made so many memories with my Sisters of Joy.  And I hope Camille has a fabulous time making those special memories too!

Things I loved about Delta Sigma:  cute t-shirts, Fall 04's Fantasy Island getaway, jersey day, the special bond I have with the lady at Kroger who was in delta sigma 20 years ago, meetings, the lion, amazing devos from  Daley, Singarama, intramurals...and on and on.

Last but definitely not least:  I don't want to leave out my glowingly gorgeous prego sis, Candace!  She's 29 weeks pregnant with my sweet baby Coleman!

75 days til Aunt Neet Ney gets to be Coleman's favorite aunt!  Maybe I should start picking out my outfit for the birth!  Let's be honest, I need to make up for my outfit at the gender announcement.  It was a neutral vanilla.

Candace Jacquelyn Cross Smith

Born:  July 17, 1986

Candace's Favorite Things:  Board games, Cooking, Running, Being a nurse, Over-achieving (In college, Candace was a nursing major with great grades, naia nationals cross country runner, and a softball player...unbelievable I know!), Small town life, Canning, Traveling, Being one of the nicest people in the world.

Candace is the bestest!  She was my roomie for 16 years.  My best friend.

I love you Candace!

So excited for Baby Smith to make its debut December 28 (Actually I'm hoping for the 1st week of January...sorry Candace.)  I can't wait for those roll-y hamhock legs!!

We went to visit Candace & Eric in little Curve, Tennessee over 4th of July.  We went to Reel Foot Lake that Saturday.  Crazy looking place.  Like a place that fairies would live with those odd trees.  It was awesome.  Here are some pictures from our adventures.

Turtles were everywhere!  Our nephews, Caden & Copelan would have been in heaven.
