Finley: 7 Months Old

You are such a big girl now.  We haven't been to the doctor this month so I don't have any official measurements but I think at 7 months you weigh almost 16 lbs.  You are still a petite little thing but you grow more all the time.  Despite being small you are quite a "big girl".  You love being active and rarely sit completely still.  Snuggles are a thing of the past unless you are sleeping.
You have mastered sitting up by this point and it's your favorite way to play.
One of your favorite toys is the tea set Gran got you.
You love all the pieces.  Dumping out the basket.  Putting everything in your mouth.  And banging all the pieces on the ground.  Endless amounts of fun.

You have also mastered sitting up in the tub by yourself.  The first day you did it by yourself it really hit Mommy how big you are now.  I can't believe how much you have changed in the last couple of months.

This month you went to your first wedding.  Although we weren't exactly under the tent just in case you got loud, we were able to see Daddy as he married the beautiful couple.

This month we had our annual baby dedication at church.  It was so sweet to celebrate all the new life and for you to be dedicated with all of your friends.
Its tough to get a picture of a group with 7 kids under 3.

This month we have just begun to see your little rascal come out.  You can make a mess in no time flat. Luckily Big C has fallen hard for your cuteness and he doesn't mind when you move all his papers around.

Since it got warm in April this year, Daddy was super handy and hung up your swing that Papa got you.  You love swinging.  You just lay back and relax.

A little trick you learned this past month was how to drink from a sippy cup.  You love it.  It's honestly half play toy/half drink dispenser but its fine with Mommy as long as you having fun!

Another trick you have learned over the last few weeks is giving kisses.  Although you can be quite aggressive with your love, its super adorable to your mom and dad.

I love this picture of you and your sister.  You are so excited to be sitting beside her and she looks like a too-cool-for-school-high-schooler who has to pose for a picture with her annoying uncool little sister.

The zoo is one of our favorite places.  Here is one of our trips this month.

Unfortunately, you also got your first ear infection this month.  So sad.  Luckily it went in away just in time for your first plane ride, which went so well.  We will talk about that trip in its own post there are just too many cute pictures for this monthly update.
As you neared 7 months, your first tooth started coming in.  It was the bottom right front tooth.  Mommy discovered it on the day we were flying cross country home from California.  You don't like to let people look at it so a picture was out of the question.

All in all, you are as cute as ever.  We love seeing your little personality come out more and more each happy!  Happy 7 months!

The Boys Come to MJ!

Our nephews and their beautiful mother came for a visit in Nashville a couple of weekends ago and we always love when they come!  They are so cute!  I know they are getting too big to say cute, but they are.  They both loved Paisley, but Caden kept calling her his best friend, his BFF!
They really were best friends all weekend!

Caden and Paisley played fetch over and over.  I'm still amazed at how good with dogs he is.  She would bring it right back and drop it right in front of him.

My parents' 17 year old dog, P.K., was also at our house that weekend.  Poor P.K.!  She is so old, but they boys, especially Copelan loved her so much.  They both wanted their picture holding her.  I laugh just looking at these pictures again.

The boys usually wake up early like their Uncle B and Aunt C.  So we all had coffee outside on the patio with Paisley.  Brandon only brought me coffee and I had to whisper to him to remind him to bring them some as well as Copelan had already asked where his coffee was.  Their Papa Cobb lets them drink coffee with him and they think it is so fun.  So he made them some decaf like mine.
Cutest coffee drinkers I've ever seen.  Copelan wanted to show off his mug!

We had the best weekend!  I'll leave you with Copelan being Copelan dancing around outside!

Spring Has Sprung And Its Busy!

Yes I have been gone for like a month and half...or so.  Here is a bit of what we have been up to...

B had a Sunday off at church and we spent a fun day together with breakfast at Frothy Monkey.
The best vanilla latte I've ever had.  I absolutely suggest a Sunday date there.

I've spent some quality time with the cutest west tennessee 1 year old around, Cubby.
Isn't he cute dancing in his hummer?

Trying to enjoy our crazy almost 10 month old german shepherd, Paisley.
Today we read outside and played.  She loves being outside!

Last but not least, last weekend we went to Murray for this big guys 4th birthday!
 Classic 4 year old face!
Caden's favorite part of the party...his shark goggles!

We've been busy these past few weeks enjoying this beautiful weather!  Hope you guys have been too!

My New Favorite Thanksgiving Tradition

I know its a little late but....Here's another piece of our Thanksgiving.

This year we did something new on Thanksgiving day.  We ran.  I know...crazy...on the most famous day of eating.  But it was so so fun!  I absolutely recommend it.  We ran the Two Rivers Ford Turkey Trot in Mt. Juliet!  And by we, I mean B, myself, and Paisley!
Headed to the race!  Can you tell she's excited?!

We only ran the 1 mile, not the 5K.  We hadn't trained or run enough recently to run the 5K, but so the mile was just perfect.  Although the mile race wasn't timed and there were no "official" winners, guess who crossed the finish line first.....

That's right.  My Paisley did.  She was so fast!  Luckily B ran with her, I can't keep up with them.  The photographer from the Lebanon Democrat took this great picture.  So proud of my girl for winning her first race!

Cara, Camille and Mom ran the 1 mile with us, but my Dad and cousin, Brent, ran the 5K.  My Dad won his age division and Brent came in top 10 over all and 2nd in his age group!  What a family of winners we are.  Ok I was just glad I came across the finish line still running and had enough oxygen and pride left to control my breathing so I didn't embarrass myself.
Its hard to get her to look at the camera.

There were lots of dogs there because it benefited New Leash on Life.  I absolutely would love to do it again!  You should think about making it a part of your Thanksgiving traditions.  Great start to our Thanksgiving!

In old Paisley news...
She graduated from puppy class!  Yes, we are those dog parents.  Sorry.  I'm not sorry!

Big and Crazy

(If you hate dogs and people who like dogs...stop here.)

My girl is getting so BIG!  Literally.  She is quite tall compared to the other dogs in her class.  She doesn't go to the doctor until this Friday for her final puppy shots, but I'm guessing she's like 33 pounds!  Crazy.
Literally.  She's a puppy.  I guess crazy is just part of the deal.

She loves to eat rocks.  Dead squirrels.  Yes...Dead squirrels.  At least she's off the kick where she ate her own poop.  Peanut butter.  Sticks.  Old shoes.  Practicing her tricks.  Bully sticks.  Daddy's old football.

She loves being outside.  And we love this beautiful weather!

She met a cat this week.  More specifically a tiny kitten.  At first she was timid.  Then she was batting the poor kitten around like a toy.
See her tail going in excitement!

She's cute and we love her.
