Meet our girl...

PSB
Paisley Blue Steele
You know we couldn't resist throwing in our favorite color.

She loves toys.

She loves cuddles.

Thanks so much for all of your advice!  She is a really great puppy.  (I'm sure B's family thinks differently after being here this weekend.  Paisley gets REALLY excited when people come over, especially kids!  It was so nice to have you here!)  Boy... have I already learned a lot though.  She sure is sweet when she sleeps though...Aren't they all?!

We love her!

Happy Happy Birthday to B!

It is my sweet B's birthday!  26!  Wow!
(Yes, I am older.  I'm not going to try to hide it, but we also aren't going to talk about my old woman wrinkles either.)
Its hard to believe we met when he was a mere baby of 18.  No we'll both admit we didn't have eyes for each other just yet.  B was too busy macking on all the new freshman ladies and the cougars of the Quest team.  But it wouldn't be long before we became the best of friends when he joined me on the quest team himself...Falling madly in love.  Okay so that might be mushy-gushy and I know Cara has officially stopped reading but its true.  And this day only comes once a year!

So...
Happy Birthday B!
Don't we look like we're 12!  In my head, I never think about us looking different, but then you look at a picture and its like REALITY CHECK!  Imagine when we are 80 looking at these!

Look at that hair!  I coudn't resist this picture.

One of the photos, he reluctantly took at our wedding to please all the women in his life.

Believe it or not, I know its hard to, but I am actually pretty tan in this photo.  You would think from the contrast I am naturally albino.  It's as if in the summer I am married to a different man.

Love you, B!  Can't believe its been six year since I gave you the first birthday card before Shady Hawkins.  (Don't correct me.  It's supposed to say "Shady".  It was a classic Quest event.  He was my date.)

Cubby Does St. Louis: Part Two

I couldn't resist.  You knew I wouldn't.  I just had too many cute moments of Cubby to capture.

We had a quick photoshoot with the Cubs before our dinner in The Hill, St. Louis's little Italy district. (Amazing! By the way.)  Its hard to resist taking pictures of this adorableness and his cheesy ball smiles.

I can't resist those baby sleeping lips!
Coleman loved his first prince's crown (from Burger King) but a crown fit for a prince nonetheless.

If you love baby belly laughs then you will love this!

Sorry for my Cubby photo obsession.  I know its crazy. Well, to be honest, I'm not sorry.  He's my nephew.  He's a baby.  Babies are cute.

Cubby does St. Louie!

After weeks of anticipation, I got to see my Cubby on Wednesday night!  He is so BIG!  We made the trip to Ripley so we could head the big metropolis in Missouri the next day.  It was my first trip to St. Louis and for Cubby, but it is a favorite destination for my sister, Candace, and her husband.  We did as much as possible in the two full days we were there and boy were we tired by the end of day two.

First stop...Forrest Park for a pre-zoo picnic!
Cubby loved the birds.  He was absolutely mesmerized.

Then we were off to the St. Louis zoo!  Best part:  Its FREE!  Gotta love that.
Yes it was blazing hot in St. Louie while we were there.  We tried to keep Cubby cool as best we could; utilizing the water falls and a fan/mister.  He loved putting his fingers in the fan.  No worries.  The blades were a soft, flexible plastic.

The hippos were amazing.  This one kept swimming in circles...round and round.
The gorillas were truly a crazy sight.  I don't know how else to put it.  They were so REAL.  I don't think I have ever been so close.  They look like giant, hairy, naked humans.  Freakish.
Obviously this one is fake.  Come on.

Next, stop the St. Louis Cardinals game!!  My first time at Busch stadium.

Cutest Cardinals fan at the game.

On day two, we challenged my fears by going to the top of the arch and I rode the seven story slide.  The latter was a disaster.  Needless to say, the city museum and I didn't have a good day.  But the arch was interesting.  Scary that high up but interesting.  Sorry no pictures from the top.  I was too busy trying not to fall off.  Yes it is enclosed at the top, but I was still worried.  Obviously I have a fear of heights and falling.
This is the tiny pod we rode with 2-3 other people in when riding up and down.  It felt like being abducted by aliens.
(My arms are spread to demonstrate the enormity of mighty Mississippi of course. It felt appropriate for the such a photograph.)

St. Louis was fabulous!  I totally recommend it.  Thanks Smiths for such a fun getaway!
